GW - Waves and Wave Properties in Google Classroom

GW - Waves and Wave Properties

The wavelength and frequency of a wave are related to one another by the speed of travel of the wave, which depends on the type of wave and the medium through which it is passing.

A simple wave has a repeating pattern with a specific wavelength, frequency, and amplitude.

By the end of the eighth grade students should know that: Wave behavior can be described in terms of how fast the disturbance spreads, and in terms of the distance between successive peaks of the disturbance (the wavelength).

Due:

CW - Waves continued in Google Classroom

CW - Waves continued

Make observations and/or measurements to produce data to serve as the basis for evidence for an explanation of a phenomenon or test a design solution.

Develop and/or use models to describe and/or predict phenomena.

Waves of the same type can differ in amplitude (height of the wave) and wavelength (spacing between wave peaks).
