For Social Studies this year, we will be focusing on United States history. We’ll analyze primary and secondary sources and answer historical questions that impact our lives to this very day. The course is based on major topics of US history, taught in eras, with an emphasis on mastering historical analysis and writing. Basically, I want you to know how to think at a higher level and recall some basic details.
Para los estudios sociales de este año, nos centraremos en la historia de los Estados Unidos. Analizaremos fuentes primarias y secundarias y responderemos preguntas históricas que impactan nuestras vidas hasta el día de hoy. El curso se basa en los principales temas de la historia de los Estados Unidos, enseñado en épocas, con un énfasis en el dominio del análisis y la escritura histórica. Básicamente, quiero que sepas cómo pensar en un nivel superior y recordar algunos detalles básicos.

As the teacher, I value respect. It is my goal to treat you as an up and coming young professional. As a student, it is your responsibility to treat me, your classmates and yourself with respect.
I really considered it a privilege to share what I know about history with students and others. What I enjoy most in students learn from the sources, write and share out what they think about a historical subject. I really enjoy nerding out with students and critically analyzing the world around us.
Como maestra, valoro el respeto. Mi objetivo es tratarlo como un joven profesional prometedor. Como estudiante, es su responsabilidad tratarme a mí, a sus compañeros de clase y a usted mismo con respeto.
Realmente consideré un privilegio compartir lo que sé sobre historia con estudiantes y otras personas. Lo que más disfruto es que los estudiantes aprendan de las fuentes, escriban y compartan lo que piensan sobre un tema histórico. Realmente disfruto relacionarme con los estudiantes y analizar críticamente el mundo que nos rodea.
